Everyday Medicines & Driving Bans

Everyday Medicines & Driving

Now that the colder winter months are upon us, it is more common to catch a cough or a cold that may require some medication to help us feel better. But be careful. At Lodge Automotive, we wouldn’t want you to end up with a driving ban.

Did you know that many shop-bought medications can cause drowsiness and impair our ability to drive a car safely? There are strict guidelines on packaging, and we advise you to stick to the limit. Drivers caught drug-driving face a minimum of a one-year driving ban and a criminal record. As if that wasn’t enough, you could even receive an unlimited fine or life in prison for causing death by careless driving. If in doubt, it is best to consult your GP. Achoo!
